Tours: Poison The Well / Billy Talent

After their tour with Vanna and before heading to Europe with Rise Against, Poison The Well will headline a run of US dates with support from Canada's Billy Talent. They are supporting The Tropic Rot.

The Melvins fucking killed it last night in SF. They were supposed to play for 40 minutes, but ended up playing just under an hour. Great Set.... lots of old, obscure songs I have never heard them play before (for the 15 to 20 times I've seen them)
Among all the songs were:
The Kicking Machine
Heather Moves and Eyes
Anaconda
Let God Be Your Gardener
Blood Witch
Lysol (the first part)
Dies Iraea
And closed the whole set with Hooch

It was total doom and slugde.. the whole place looked like something from Dante's Inferno , but with a bunch of pot smoke and beer

You guys must be from Canada. No one in America really knows them, it must be weird for them to play big places up there and then open for other people at little clubs here.

Wow. The place they're playing in Chicago fits 1,100 people and it won't sell out, Poison the Well played there a few weeks ago.

Poison the well was fucking awful when I saw them. They were supposed to headline with The Fall of Troy and Horse the Band, but due to lateness, PtW played their set first. The crowd was pretty much dead the whole time. When FoT and HtB played, the crowd went nuts and completely forgot about Poison the Well,

i saw that tour too, but it was the other way around. everyone was super into poison the well, and basically could care less about the other bands that played.
