The Bronx alter ego, Mariachi El Bronx have been tapped to provide support for The Killers on five days of their forthcoming tour.

this is the very first time i've ever been disappointed with news about The Bronx.

i hope they decide to break out into a real Bronx show mid-set and educate these dorky Killers fans on what real rock and roll is.

I wasn't insinuating that it was a "get rich" scheme or they were "selling out." But, they're able to play to MUCH wider audiences and on bigger tours doing this than doing their normal rock stuff. And I'm sure they're not "getting rich," but they're probably making decent cash opening for the Hold Steady and Killers.

no, but they've done a bunch of big tours in the past - thursday, the hives, bad religion, social distortion, mastadon, lifetime...they're not hurting in the good opening slots department.

Lifetime- not a big tour. Killers, MUCH bigger than any of these bands. Did they do a full Hives' tour? Actually aside from Mastodon and Lifetime, I don't remember them doing more than a string of dates with those bands.

Sam's Town was fucking terrible. Hot Fuss is a good album, but Flowers is still an asshole.

No way. Hot Fuss is great, as is Sam's Town. Two totally different animals, but both very strong on their own. The songs on Sam's Town are excellent.

In my opinion, El Bronx is better than The Bronx. I've always been kinda meh about The Bronx but I absolutely love Mariachi El Bronx. I never would have guessed that this guy's voice is so good.
