The Get Up Kids are premiering the live portion of their upcoming DVD online now. The 51-minute set features a performance of Something To Write Home About recorded at Liberty Hall in Lawrence, KS in March 2009.
The online premiere predates the release of the deluxe edition of Something To Write Home About which is remastered and due out September 7, 2009. The reissue also features 7 downloadable bonus tracks of demos from the Something To Write Home About sessions, exclusive to this physical version. Check it out here. Vagrant Records (10 comments)

Whoa, James really cleaned up.. He was a mess a few years ago but he looks good now. Probably good he waited to get off drugs though or else he would've still been in New Found Glory,

I wonder if Matt seems any less bored during this than he did when I saw them in Manchester. I swear he spent most of the show rolling his eyes at pretty much everything.

Watching this I was just imagining them jumping between get up kids songs and coalsece songs. Now that would have been a reunion! 1+ Reply

love this. wish i was there. too bad the "never seen them before"18 year old fanboy clapping like limp wristed seal in the intro brings the cool factor down.
