Kinda sad that no one has commented on this. This band deserves to be recognized, at least for their last/debut album, Under Reprisal. I haven't heard the new one yet, but if it's as good as the first, it'll be on my top 10 for the year.

I'm not sure if I like this one yet, I haven't heard it. But if you're referring to the first record, it's because the guitars are awesome (very technical, with awesome breakdowns), the production is great, the rhythm section is perfect, and the vocals are some of the best I've heard in metal (his screams are insane, and the melodies/harmonies are pretty original for this type of music).

I always thought this band kinda sucked. Too much buttrock, not enough metal.

Under Reprisal was an amazing album! Basically a new band now but check out the guitar solo for Counterbalance.The new stuff is definitely not as good but that's what happens with line-up changes.
