Converge have released another new song from their upcoming album. The record is titled Axe to Fall and is due out October 20, 2009. It follows No Heroes from 2006.

Do you like the bands? If so...then pay it and go. It's metal. Most metal is not cheap like punk rock. Most shows outside of punk rock are not cheap. Especially when at least one of the bands is on a major label, and it is presented by adult swim.

From your recent comment history, you had the money to buy 20 bucks worth of albums from suburban home records. This tour has been posted for over a month. Either a poor distribution of your budget, or you really aren't a big fan of these bands, or metal, or something.

wow, chill...I was just saying how it's a little expensive for a ticket. I think spending 20 bucks for 10 CDs was a good distribution of what money I do have. Posting something about ticket prices does not mean I'm not a fan of these bands, i'm sorry if it offended you.

agree with most of this post, but there are still a lot of cheap metal shows, at least in my area. I paid $5 last night to see three touring bands at some dive bar.

you doing Doomriders/Rorschach at the ICC dude? i'm debating it. i love doomriders, but i haven't gotten into rorschach's stuff as much as i'd like in order to see them. especially not some 20-year reunion show.

i did buy their discography for 2.99 at newbury though. score.

i don't know if it's a one-off or a mini-east coast tour or something (don't know why they'd choose boston instead of somewhere in jersey). but i know there have to be people way more deserving to see them than me, who've only been privy to them over the past few years.

Brian is really creative but you can only go so far on a tiny compact set like he uses. I'd say Koller would fairly squash every one.

not to be dick, just info:

this album has a ton of guest on it. including Uffe from Disfear (ex entombed) and the cave in dudes on guitars. there are a lot of two guitar parts on this record. lots of leads and more solos than usual.
