National Underground have posted a preview of their upcoming documentary about the The Fest. The preview includes segments from interviews with Dan Yemin (Paint It Black, Lifetime, Armalite) Atom Goren (Atom and His Package, Armalite), Brendan Kelly (The Lawrence Arms), The Flatliners, Static Radio and OK Pilot on the National Underground site here.
The documentary is still a work in progress and is being produced by Blue Elephant Media and National Underground. National Underground also posted video and downloadable audio of the entire Dillinger Four set from FEST 7 last year. You can check the 60-minute long set here. News (64 comments)

When you see the kid in the red shirt jump off the speakers into the crowd at The Venue towards the end of the video, that dude landed right on my head. 1+ Reply

The D4 set was fun to cut. I got to recollect all of the moments I vaguely remembered. 1+ Reply

I really wish I had the money for the Fest. Then again I like having a roof over my head. A shitty roof over my head...

I can blame it on money, I can blame it on class, I can blame it on work....but not making it to fest in the end is really just my fault. I will be there next year (if there is a next year) if I have to scrape my way down the freeway by my own damn fingernails.

before, i was sitting at dunkin donuts, shootin the breeze, when some hairy skinny dude came up to me and pointed to my shirt and said "HEY KID DYNAMITE!" he started to walk away and then said very properly "this is my fuck you." I gave him a head-nod, and then he was out the door. i then realized this was Daryl Palumbo. cool 1+ Reply

I just downloaded D4's live album illegally off of Mediafire yesterday! I can definitely deal with some more live D4!

judging by this video, d4 are sloppy and their sound is quite bad live, but boy, do I love them and this video.

I picked up the Have Nots record a couple of days ago and holy shit, this band is the second coming of Rancid. Best new punk I've heard in fucking ages. And if it wasn't for their ad at the top right hand corner of this page, I never would have heard of 'em.
RavenEffect (October 10, 2009)
Fucking aweosme that they used Its Alive! by 10-4 Eleanor. More people need to hear the greatness of that band.

I just noticed now that Paddy only sings about half of the right words in Minimum Wage.

I picked up D4's Situationalist Comedy today and wondered to myself "how did I live in the Midwest and go to punk shows and not every listen to these fine gentlemen. And by fine gentlemen I mean drunken slobs with badass rocking abilities. Also, Fest Documentary, thanks for reminding me that I live in Arizona and go to school. Bummer.
skasucks76 (October 12, 2009)
Sorry if this is a dumb question but when Paddy started out with "This song is about stealing shit from your job and trading it with shit your friends stole from their jobs" was he also referring to Folk Song? | Features
