Our stream today comes from Chad Price. Our stream is from the former ALL and current Drag the River member's first solo album on Suburban Home Records. It's called Smile Sweet Face.

Not that I'm complaining, because this guys was probably my favorite singer for ALL, so I'm sure this stuff is decent.

alas the solo acoustic album is the natural progression for the aging punk rocker.

Yeah, and you know, the solo thing isn't so bad.. it's that these guys think that a solo record HAS to be super slow and quiet. If that's what they really want to do, then I guess good for them, but I actually *like* solo artist stuff like Ben Folds, Regina Spektor, etc. and I still find these muted solo albums really boring.

Attica! Attica! is the only one doing the solo artist thing in a way that stays interesting.

(So I guess this means Much The Same fans can rest assured that if I ever start doing a solo project, it's not going to be a bunch of acoustic ballads haha)

True. As I recall, Bill or Stephan said that they invited Scott for these recent dates & mini-tour (caught them here in San Diego, very good set, lots of fun) because Chad was busy w/ Drag the River & his solo stuff. But I remember they specifically said that Chad was still the "official" singer. Given the nature of the band, everybody seems pretty cool with taking out whoever's interested & available when they feel like playing. Though I would like to see some more stuff with Chad, as he's my favorite of their singers. Also I'd like to hear those 2 albums (1 regular, 1 instrumental) that they talked about doing like 9 years ago.

Chad has the best vocals out of all of the All lineups in my opinion. He really showed what he can do as vocalist on the "Pummel" album which had a great almost metal/metalcore feel to it at times.

I like Pummel a lot, took me some time to really liek it, but now it`s amongst my favourite ALL albums ...

Same here. Pummel is more eclectic than your average punk album but Bill Stevenson really outdid himself, he wrote all the best songs on there and those are my all-time favorite descendents/all songs.
