PunCanoes sense of humor is a circular narrative in many ways where it kind of sums up the human race in a time capsule.

for some reason i always confuse this band with lock and key. and i'm always like "didn't smoke or fire break up?" but no, it was lock and key. wakka wakka.

I was going to say. I thought they already recorded this. I was expecting a release sooner than that.

Above the City was amazing. There's not a bad song on that album, and despite the 28 minute runtime it's songs seem fully realized as far as getting their point across.
This Sinking Ship was okay. Never really grew on me. many parts of the songs seemed to be filler to lengthen the time.

Regardless, I'm stoked.

I agree about Above The City..I think they made have taken some shit about songs needing one more chorus or whatever and decided to make sure songs were a little longer on Sinking Ship

But if they deliver another album "only" as good as Sinking Ship, I'm still heavily stoked

Yes! I remember thinking the exact same thing once! And thats a testament to ATC not Fat lacking signature releases

I always forget that this band exists and that's too bad because I actually really like them.

I listen to them and I think they are ok, but that's as far as I'll go.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. I think they're a tad bit overrated (on here, at least).

I quite enjoyed Sinking Ship, stoked for the new one.
