fully agree, TMLE are one of the best live bands I have seen.

Agreed, just wish there were more material. I can't deny that I still love some SW, but the guy is such a jerk.

I have a hard time listening to any of the records now even. During Riot Fest I got my dinner break on Sunday during SW's set, so I stood on the side of the stage, eating my cold rice and veggies, feeling absolutely nothing about what I was watching, couldn't care less.

Usually when doing merch count outs at the end of shows I feel like absolute shit taking bands' money but I felt no remorse at all getting 15% of the Weasel merch sales.

I was there...good show.

Yessir, It was fuckin great. I hadnt heard much of Cobra Skulls but damn they were awesome.

Mike is lucky to get the Skiba solo record. He can wait the few months.

Recess is a way better label, so all rudeness aside it's an obvious move, especially if you're as desperate to maintain your last shred of punk cred as Ben is.

Asian Man is clearly a small label, but Mike does everything he can with the resources he has for the bands and acts on the label.

2 of those are older established artists, who I don't believe tour full time, the rest are a) terrible and b) wouldn't be surprised at all if BTMI and Lemuria moved to bigger labels. Doing everything he has with his resources doesn't negate what I said.

That's not the only band I've heard of having issues with the label. Not that he's a bad dude or underhanded, just not particularly capable.

He seems to be a legitimate punk rock label. He puts out records of his friends bands and bands he likes. He does it all himself and does a good job. Some of those bands (who wouldn't be in the position they are in if not for Asian Man) get bigger and decide to jump ship because they complain about not making enough cash. He stays legit.

Partially, yes. There was no guarentee they would be at the level there are if they worked with another label. They might not have had anything released on a label at all. These days a label I would argue has far less influence as it once did, but that was about 96' and a labels importance was espeically huge. Alkaline Trio may have gone no where without them. I have known plenty of bands that are amazing but went completely unknown due to not having label support or not working with the right label.

Totally disagree. Their success was due to their songs and their touring. Same thing would have happened had they been on No Idea. And they're more "at the level they're at now" due to Vagrant.

god I forgot about LTJ jumping ship. That means Pezcore has been released on 3 different labels now.
