The Pixies' recent performance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon is now available online. The legendary band performed "Debaser" live on the show and then performed "Hey" in a special online segment.

man that gold Les Paul is pretty. even if this isn't your thing you gotta appreciate the musicianship they show. Hey sounded sooo good.

I've got the Epiphone version of the Reissue 56 Les Paul Goldtop. It's got the P90 soapbox pickups. I fuckin' love that thing, despite it only being a knockoff.

The 57 goldtop is one of the raddest guitars in history. It works with Pixies, Alkaline Trio, AFI, and so on.
The sustain doesn't sound too great in the video, but I'll blame it on the setup, rather than the axe itself.

Frank Black has always been a fat dude. Don't be so shallow, it's part of his offbeat charm. The idea that all musicians have to be attractive or cool looking by some universal standard is pretty un-punk rock, my friend.

After their lackluster performance on Conan, I immediately lost all my jealousy of everyone getting to see them on this tour. After this video, it's all back.

I was soooo glad they played "Debaser" on one of the late night shows. I mean, I dug the performance of "Here Comes Your Man", but "Debaser" is my favorite Pixies song. The performance of "Hey" was pretty good too. Glad I got to see that.

Much better than the Conan performance. How come no one in the audience is singing along? I guess it would pretty much suck to play to a bunch of people who could care less about your songs.

saw them in chicago two weeks ago and it was fucking amazing.

all of doolittle, all the b-sides, plus second encore ended with where is my mind followed by gigantic. couldnt ask for anything better than that.
