Old Shoe Records has signed Flatfoot 56. The band will release their Old Shoe Records debut Black Thorn, produced by the Street Dogs' Johnny Rioux, on St. Patrick's Day. The band promises "thirteen tracks that celebrate the pride of the working class and their Chicago roots." The band has also been confirmed for a supporting run on this summer's Vans Warped Tour, starting July 11th and ending August 2nd.
They previously released Jungle of the Midwest Sea in 2007 and you can check out some music on their MySpace page. News (16 comments)

Fun band. They always put on a good show. Saw them twice. The first time was along time ago in my small little home town before they were big. It was in an auditorium with a bunch seats and no rooms to dance still we managed to have a pit. It was crazy.

Really bothered by all the hate speak on here. Would anyone have a problem if they were Jewish? or Black? or Homosexual? I'm not a christian, but why can't a band be judged on their music rather than their faith? They don't preach, they just play music they love. If you don't like their music, fine, don't listen. If you are intolerant of their faith, then you are just as prejudiced as a racist or Nazi. Seriously people, get over yourselves.

These guys are stand up fellas. They increase the peace and have a faith system that is personal to them. Every artists tends to believe in something and that influences the music they write. So many of you "punx" have been brainwashed to hate anything that is traditional and real to people's of faith. | Features
