Alkaline Trio have announced their upcoming tour dates with Cursive. The six week run is in support of their upcoming album, This Addiction, due out February 23, 2010. It's their first since Agony & Irony in 2008.
I reckon they filled the Kool Haus about five years ago.. that was late 2003 or early 2004. It was the winter, anyway. I don't remember which record had came out, but I remember being insulted that whatshername at the merch table told me to buy a hoodie one size bigger than I had chosen. Oh well!
I actually like that venue... Seen The Melvins and Bad Religion shows there.... sound isn't all that amazing, but it's got a cool setup, and not shitty security like The Warfield and The Fillmore
yeah dude i think the fillmore looks nice but what the fuck is up with that weird section on the right hand side with seating along the walls. i saw toots and the maytals there and everybody was just blazing up, including people who looked older than my parents.
havent been to the regency grand ballroom yet, but it should be good!
when have they ever headlined the fillmore? i mean they played there last year (?) with Rise Against, but last time they headlined, it was at cervantes with American Steel. that shit was awesome!
i still don't understand why bands like this would play Nokia. yeah - i'm going to go for MCD, but that's a rare occasion. why not play at Webster Hall or just try and fill up Terminal 5?
Yes, he/she should get an old album that the band will mostly ignore live, and also sounds drastically different than their last 6 years of musical output... idiot.
Yall need ta stop yer complainin'! Us here in this here West By-God-Virginia aint ever get no good punk music! Seriously though, stop complaining. At least they come through now and then. I'll maybe make it to Towson, though. If not, then I guess Warped Tour will have to do!
I'll try my best to check out the Toronto show.
The Phoenix is a nicer venue than the kool haus or the sound academy, but is a notable downsize capacity wise.
