A Wilhelm Scream recently stopped by Canadian cable program Talk Show Night at Juicebox Manor to perform a couple of tracks in the basement. The band played "Me vs. Morrissey in the Pretentiousness Contest (The Ladder Match)" from 2005's Ruiner and "Skid Rock" from 2009's eponymous EP.

I can never tell if I like this band or not. The songs are decent enough, but... I don't know. I just can't appreciate them as much as I feel I "ought to".

This is the best new punk band to come on the scene in the past 10 years. So yes, not all 00's music has sucked. Just 99% of it. A few other good ones would be Gojira, The Swellers, Crime In Stereo, No Trigger and Enemy Alliance

Right im gonna say it! Love the music but the vocals are very average in this band. Not the worst ive heard but i always end up just listenin to the intro's of the songs then skip. I think the band is just too good it makes the singer look bad. They need some more vocal melody i reakon or a new singer. 4+ Replies

Trevor needs more vocal parts. I hope he's going to sing more on the next full-length. Career Suicide would have been entirely flawless, if only Trevor had made some more appearances on vocals. Anyway, this is the best band around.

punker001 is really dumb, he obviously doesn't understand the wrath of Nuno. 1+ Reply

I'm an idiot. I posted on the EP's review that it was too techy with no real songs. Seeing skid rock live.... man, its up there with anything in their back catalogue.

This made me smile. Can't wait to see them again in May, twice. I hate having to go to the UK to see them though. On the bright side, the best show I saw them at yet was in Manchester in early 2008, which is one of the places I'm seeing them this time. The crowd there is mental and it's always packed. It shines through on the band too. | Features

The word is "Prententiousness," alright.
Also, what song is that playing over the end credits? It is quite fun-sounding.
