The Weakerthans will be releasing a new DVD,
Live at the Burton Cummings Theater, on
March 23, 2010. The live DVD was recorded in April of 2009 as the band toured in support of their acclaimed album
Reunion Tour with an expanded line-up featuring trumpet, violin and female vocals, playing songs from all four of their albums in front of a =hometown crowd. The artwork is a painting by bassist Greg Smith, one of several pieces inspired while on the April tour. The release will feature a CD of the performance as well as the DVD.
