Exclaim! Compiles Metal's Top Ten Speeding Ticket Songs

Our friends at Canada's Exclaim! Magazine have recently compiled a list of what they consider "Metal's Top Ten Speeding Ticket Songs". The unscientific study claims songs from Dayglo Abortions, Megadeth, Slayer and others as the songs most likely to get one's adrenaline pumping fast enough to ignore speed limits.

Last I checked, Offspring are not and have never been anything resembling a metal band.

I never considered Dayglo Abortions a metal band, but I think they are way under-appreciated.

Hell, I never considered Suicidal Tendencies (at the time of the first album and even including Join the Army), the Misfits, Ministry or Dayglo Abortions to be metal bands. I mean just because Metallica covered them on Garage Days DOESN'T mean they are a metal band. They should just call them a punk band instead of trying to lump them in as a metal band because they weren't one.

New Against Me! is going to piss off so many people. I can't wait. "I Was a Teenaged Anarchist" is basically a turd dropped in the eyesocket of every Ghost Mice wannabe annoying kids.

The "revolution was a lie" line especially made me lol a lot. The kids are going to piss themselves in angsty rage themselves when they hear that.

I like the record though: the vocals are super clean, but they seem to fit the songs well.

That song, as well as Anna Is a Stool Pigeon are the two dumbest and thoughtless songs ever written. Anna is Tom basically reciting a newspaper article while singing in his over dramatized voice. I know I will try to force myself to like the new CD, but I'm sure that will only make me hate it even more

Just listened to White Crosses and I hope it's some kind of elaborate joke to mock people who download leaks and that the real album is locked up in a safe place somewhere ready for the release date.

"Ache With Me" is up there with the most cringeworthy songs of all time. The best parts of the album are still way below par for this band and the rest ranges from terrible to forgettable.

I am in the minority who liked New Wave quite a bit and I've been waiting anxiously for this. Still I had to force myself to sit through all 36 minutes of it. After about six minutes I almost gave up and the last half an hour felt like an eternity. So disappointed.

i got a speeding ticket once while listeing to public enemy, i heard the sirens but i thought it was in the song. so the cop followed me for like a half mile. he was pretty pissed. true story
