Pitchfork has posted their list of the 50 best videos of the 90s. The list includes videos from Sonic Youth, Frank Black, A Tribe Called Quest, The Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Pavement, Radiohead, Nine Inch Nails, Blur, Yo La Tengo, Beastie Boys and Weezer. Thankfully, each number also includes an embedded copy of the video in question as well.
Check out the list here. Television (52 comments)

You'd figure someone posted a list like this in the beginning of the 2000s or late 1990s? Someone dropped the ball. 1+ Reply

California by Wax should have definitely been on there, but I agree with every selection 3+ Replies

Where's the Guns N Roses? Estranged and November Rain had killer videos. Fuck this list.

But really... I've never seen the "Dirty Boots" video before so that's cool, I completely forgot about that Busta Rhymes "Put Your Hands..." video that looked like it was straight out of a Joel Schumacher Batman... hell, a decent chunk of it is bringing me back to grammar school and pre-punk radio.

My two favorite videos from the 90's that (kinda deservedly so) didn't make the list. 2+ Replies

i hate how a lot of punk bands cant afford to make a decent music videos. the music video is great artform for the artist to show off another form of creativity and add the their. i know a lot of punk band make music videos but how often can you see the same video of "band on stage in a pack club" or "band in room full of posters." 5+ Replies

I didn't bother looking at this, but if the number one video isn't "Gimme Some More" by Busta Rhymes, then it's wrong.

Buddy Holly #2?! That's not even the third best Spike Jonze video, much less the second-best video of a decade. | Features
