Brooklyn ska/rocksteady documentary in the works

The Toasters

A documentary dubbed Brooklyn Rocksteady: The Roots, The Scene & The Culture is currently in the works, exploring the last 30 years of the ska and rocksteady scene in the New York City area. The film will include interviews with members of the Toasters, the Slackers, the Pietasters and Westbound Train among others. More information and a trailer is available here.

A release is expected in the fall.
