Here's your question and answer of the week from the Punknews Formspring:

Q: What band, or if you can narrow it down, album, has had the biggest impact on you? Is there a specific meaning to why this band/album/artist means so much, or did you just really identify with the music? A: Not to be corny but Minor Threat's discography, for sure. Not that it was (or is) my favorite album but because it was the first real, raw, underproduced (is that a word?) and angry punk I ever really heard and I hated it at first. It took me about two whole listens before I shelved it for about three months. But, after listening to it bands like AFI (early AFI), Good Riddance and others started to make more sense and seem down right overly melodic. After three months I went back and was amazed at how much I enjoyed the album. It was sort of the stepping stone to realizing that good music didn't need to be crisp and smooth.
