Thanks to the sharply dressed Swedes at Bad Taste Records, I've got two copies of the great new Satanic Surfers record "Unconsciously Confined" to give away. That, and we'll also throw in a Satanic Surfers lanyard with each (you know, one of those key chains that's got a wide shoe-lace-like string on it). All you have to do to be eligible to win is answer me a few easy Satanic Trivia questions, click READ MORE to see them.

Email your answers along with your address to CONTEST CLOSED. I'll be picking a random two emails from those with the correct answers tomorrow and will announce the winners here. Enter only once.

contests are awesome, and trivial contests are even cooler (much better than the 1st person emailing ones), but contests for cooler bands is even better. BUT, I know not every band or label is giving you shit so rock on, I have no complaints, I just don't like these guys, although Belvedere is cool *****Wuss-Emo-Rock*****

or maybe you confuse everything with a melody as having the same drum beat. Rodrigo is a mad drummer, eagles style, well not anymore, he just sings now, but he don henleyd that shit up back in the day. All swedish bands rock harder, they cant help it. wyzo

This contest, although fun and all, I mean... LANYARDS? Those things are so lame. And the surfers are okay, I'm just not too into surf. If I was ever tied down and frced to listen to a surf band, it would probably be Man or Astro Man, though my friend says the Phanton Surfers "Skaterhater" was a cool record.

Lanyards are what I was given, lanyards are what I'm giving away. I don't judge the prizes :) And if its surf rock I wanted, I'd definitely pull out the Huevos Rancheros and Shadowy Men On A Shadowy Planet records. adam

Ok...I really hate commenting on contests, because its out of the goodness of someones heart... but... Using logic here... if someone was a big fan of this band, big enough to know the answers to all 3 of those questions right away, dont you think that person, probably already has the album that the contest is giving away? If I was the band/record label, that gave this stuff away, I would want new people exposed to the music.

For the questions I made up, I got the answers right off of (hint hint) the front of their webpage, which I liked in the article twice (hint hint). I've myself never heard much by the Surfers, so since I could make the questions in under 5 minutes, it shouldnt be a problem getting the answers to them. I was just trying to make it a bit more interesting than "the first person to email gets this..." Plus, to answer the question it forces you to at least take a look at the Bad Taste and Surfers webpage, which is good from a marketing standpoint (I suppose). adam

Its an honest mistake, but I can't believe someone thought they were a surf band. huh. The Satanic Surfers rock the ganj, and they pass the dutchie. I'm wearing their shirt right now, so fuck you and you, your cool, and fuck you. Doesn't comedy central have to show half baked by now, its been like 2 weeks since the last time? wyzo

The correct term is...."Fuck you,fuck you,fuck you,you're cool,I'm out" Or so my memory says,and I've seen that about 20 times,so it's probably right.Also,Satanic Surfers aren't that good,but they're uber-cool for giving away free shit.
