"Sunday's Los Angeles Times has this article (and this sidebar) on Sanctuary Records' new compilation album 'Rise Above: Twenty-Four Black Flag Songs to Benefit the West Memphis Three.' The album features performances from ex-Flaggers Henry Rollins, Keith Morris, and Chuck Dukowski, as well as Iggy Pop, Exene Cervenka, Ice-T, Lemmy, Ryan Adams, Hank Williams III and others. The article includes ruminations on what Black Flag was all about from Henry Rollins and founder/guitarist Greg Ginn."
Look for a review of this in the coming weeks [read as: as soon as Moldy gets off his ass]. Black Flag (26 comments)

Has Henry ever let me down? No, this thing is gonna be awesome. I've already heard "No More", "Rise Above" and "Thirsty & Miserable" and they all sound great. Cannot wait for Ice T on Police Story(always a big fan of Body Count and I love all Flag songs) so it should be great. As i look forward to Morris returning to Nervous Breakdown and Iggy Pop on Fix Me. My War should be great with Rollins singing. The ultimate rebelious album. Taking songs from the most brutal band of all time and using it to free some guys in jail unjustly. Leave it to Rollins to do something so cool. 1+ Reply

I wonder how badly big hank would beat someone for pointing out his homosexuality in terms that he wouldn't find oh so endearing The Big Flaming Buffoon | Features
