Refused adds New York City show

In addition to Coachella and the San Francisco date with The Hives and The Bronx, Refused has announced a show at New York City's Terminal 5 on April 23, 2012. Tickets go on sale January 25 (tomorrow) at 12:00 EST. They will cost you $30 each, plus service charges.

I would love to see them at Bottom Lounge. Maybe my favorite venue. Always though Metro was a little too big and I'm not a fan of barricades.

I've seen too many great bands with terribly mixed sound at the Metro. I saw Gang of Four and Peter Hook there and both times they had the sound was bad. Bottom Lounge!

Just bought a ticket fot the Berlin gig. 50€ and more than 100€ to get there. Most expensive show I'll have ever attended.

Pulp has also announced a New York and San Fran date following their Coachella 'reunion', but I'm guessing PunkNews won't print that one. Still...yay?

What, really? I went off on a limb there by submitting it. It's interesting, sometimes the news I submit which I think is relevant never appears and the news I submit which I don't think has a chance gets posted. I wonder what the criteria is...PunkNews should make me an administrator so I understand it better.

In all seriousness, I actually did once serve as a pretty decent moderator, though it was for a relatively large message board and was much more work than I anticipated. I've been nominated on a few other boards, but I always politely decline. Any board that accepts me as a mod will inevitably fall into ruin.

Although, in 2008, I was offered a mod position on the Bosstones message board....I wish I accepted it, because I theorize that by now I could be controlling McFlynn in some way. "Publish my King Crimson review!" "But...it's not punk!" "Bitch, I will BANHAMMER you and you'll have to get your MMB bootlegs from the street corners!" "*sob*"

Good for folks in New York. I'm incredibly excited about the San Francisco date. Should be amazing. Also, $30 for that bill isn't bad at all.

I think that's a far fetched rumor, considering they drew 1000+ on their own 2 headline reunion shows, I find it unlikely they'd open for a band in a 3000 room, who could sell it out with no opener.
