by Hellcat

Noah Shachtman, bass player for the King Django band, wrote us with an update. After a brief hiatus the band is back in action with new drummer Ara Babajian, formerly of Leftover Crack. The group is currently in the studio recording demos for their follow up to 2001's Hellcat debut "Reason." King Django (for those of you who don't know) was the frontman of celebrated NYC ska bands Skinnerbox and the Stubborn Allstars. His current band plays a hybrid of punk and dancehall reggae.
