Aaah and I've been agreeing with you recently!
Honestly, this band is bigger than you think they are. Take it from someone who lived in the mecca of hardcore reunions during that era. Tons of bands did it, including a bunch people don't even realize did it and it was a mixed bag. Some bands couldn't draw over 10 people (Underdog is the classic one), but Trial had quite a lot of people show up all across the continent. I wouldn't have guessed that they'd get more heads than Path Of Resistance, that incredibly bastardized version of Youth Of Today, that really weird Chain Of Strength tour or someone like Floorpunch - but they sure did.

I saw them a few times in the 90s on the east coast and it always seemed the hype was greater than the turnout.

I saw him give a talk a year or two ago regarding his relief work in Haiti and it was excellent. He's a great communicator who really cares about a supportive and caring music community.

One of the best interviews I've read on here. I think a lot of the time messages of community and social liberties get distorted in an attempt to make them artistically relevant and it's nice to see someone so articulate and intelligent present those ideas in a very straightforward manner.
