APRIL FOOLS

In a surprising bit of news, one of our friends at Fat told us that the infamous Fat Mike will be joining the Foo Fighters on their next tour while bassist Nate Mendel recovers from surgery. Said Fat Mike: "I've always been a fan of the band, and this gives me a chance to promote punkvoter.com to a larger audience, which is really the most important thing to getting Bush out of office"

it doesn't say former right now. i don't know if it did when it was posted. and i also don't know if nate mendel is still the bassist or not. i do know that he was in sunny day real estate who were superb.

I dont like this one because its believable and I dont care. Its like you go to a restaurant for a ham sandwich and they're like "we're out of tuna... wait no we aren't! april fools!" and then you dont care because you just wanted ham. Last year's got a nice rise out of people though.

I didn't believe it, cuz i was already thinking about april fools when i read it, but that could totally happen and it wouldn't surprise me at all. Other people who played for FAT have left and joined the Foo Fighters, so why not? Now, it woulda been funnier if you woulda said Creed or.. oooh METALLICA. didn't their bass player quit? I'm sure they have a new one by now, but metallica is way to dumb nowadays

it's really not THAT farfetched. i could be wrong, but isn't the drummer for the foo fighters in Me First, as well as Fat Mike? i know it's a joke, but there could be weirder connections.

The guitarist of Me First, Chris Shifflet, is in The Foo Fighters. He used to be in No Use For A Name as well.

wow nevermind.. I guess I've been reading this site too long. I hadnt realized that epitaph thing was last year. They ARE getting worse and worse. The best was the one (I'm too lazy to figure out how to find the exact article) where punknews was bought by some major label. I was so confused
