Constantines Add Keyboardist, Plan Summer Tour

The Constantines are a five-piece now that the Guelph natives have picked up Toronto keyboardist Whil Kidman. After touring with the band last summer Kidman (who also fronts Toronto-based two piece Woolly Leaves) was asked to join full time. The band's sophomore release is due on July 22nd from Three Gut Records in Canada and Sub Pop everywhere else. Drummer Doug MacGregor spoke with Exclaim about the band's plans to tour extensively in support of the release, "That's pretty much the plan.... Get in the van and see how far we can go, and see what crazy adventures we can get into along the way." dude, fuck right off. their self-titled album is now one of my favourites. ever. and after hearing the "modern sinner nervous man" ep, i'm projecting their next album to be even better. if that's even possible.

i hate to be little-miss-correction, but walt's name is actually whil. for some reason, he always gets called the wrong name and i thought i'd correct it on his behalf. i'm also wondering if you thought his name was walt because kidman sort of rhymes with whitman?
