No Use For A Name…I’m clueless on where to start when it comes to explaining what this band has meant to my life. When I was 15 I didn’t understand how music could be played so fast, so melodic, so aggressive, and be drenched with lyrics so meaningful yet somehow still not be the biggest thing in the world.

As I grew up, I realized how lucky I was to have discovered No Use so young. To me they were the biggest band in the world and I shared this sentiment with thousands of other people. It brought us together as a community. It also introduced me to similiar artists both nationally and locally, which gave me even more of a reason to get out and play music.

Of course the passing of Tony Sly was a punch right in the gut and even though I didn’t know Tony, I had been to a number of No Use shows, spent years of my life listening to his work, and even asked him awkward questions about his lyrics at a mall in New Jersey after No Use played their first acoustic show.

Recording this cover was a special experience and we made the decision to keep it as true to the original as possible. Never forget Tony Sly…
