as their new lead vocalist. Here's a snip of Geir's post from the old Adhesive
website:
"If anyone remembers me, I'm Geir, the handsome dude behind the bass in this god-forsaken band. Sometimes I even sang a few lines... Well anyways, I'm back in business again. I've joined the almighty Satanic Surfers as their new singer. When Martin (drums) left the band, Rodrigo (being a sucker for drums) took place behind the kit. After some drunk talking at the Bad Taste festival, where I mentioned that if they needed a hot stud fronting them, I was only a phone call away..."

Holy shit...this is one of the best and most unexpected pieces of news I've read in a while. While I always thought Rodrigo was a very strong vocalist himself (starting with 666 Motor Inn), I'm really anxious to hear what they come up with now. Adhesive was one of my favourite bands. I loved From Left to Right and We Got the Beat. It's great to see Geir get back into things. Now, I'd like to see Astream get back into action...they'd really developed their songwriting chops just before they split. Plus, they had a picture of the Embassy Hotel in London on the back of their last CD. 1+ Reply

Wow, this is great news. I've interviewed Geir just before Adhesive broke up.Satanic Surfers and Adhesive (along with Raised fist) were my favourite Swedish bands, so this can't be a bad thing.
