it's nice to see charlie brown gets a valentine interview. i wanted to know more since i like their song on "underground screams." and the interviwer probably asked one of the more difficult questions: The Broadways or the Lawrence Arms. Ramo (damn it. both bands are so good it hurts)

im afraid id have to agree with 'someone' on this. i dont know either of you name sharing fools but suicide machines are in fact greater than anything. (with a few obvious exceptions)

This magazine is great. Where can you buy print copies of it? Al;l the ones they show covers of are not available through interpunk.

The way it works is this - they put out a free issue every month in California only. Every two months, they combine the best of each issue and tack on a new cover story and sell it for a dollar nationwide [along with a free sampler CD]. All in all, AMP is pretty swank. -Scott

To the moron that was complaining about all the pop punk bands... Go look at their archives. This is the one magazine that i feel i can safeley hide from all that crap in. This issue might be a little heavy on it, but they are usually far from it. What were their last 2 covers? Blood Brothers and The Locust? Yeah, viva pop punk, sucker.

Anyhow, how's everybody liking the new Thrice? It's no Illusion of Safety to me, maybe not even Identity Crisis. Still a great CD, just lacks speed, aggression, and the well-placed softness that I used to enjoy. I'll give this sucker time though

So far I like it. It's like Illusion of Safety Part II. Basically same quality of lyrics, about the same balance of screaming/singing, but all in all better drums and better production. I just like Dustins lyrics so much that an Illusion of Safety Part II is quite fine with me. Even though some of his ideas are getting pretty pretentious, and almost preachy.. don't like preachiness. I'd give it 3.5-4 after 5 listen-throughs.

What I miss lyrics wise is that Thrice always had those little fragments that really stuck in your head like "Well, friend they told me you were dead" (I should be able to come up with a much better example, but not right now). This CD also sounds a lot more bass-ey and thusly less raw.

I think its friggin awesome and I love IC and TIOS. I had to let it grow on me somewhat, but I like it alot. Paper Tigers makes it worth it alone.

Wow that Ataris interview is probably the best I have ever read. I have so much more respect for Roe having read that, it's just a pity the new album is so poor.
