Fiddler signs The Higher

Fiddler Records has announced their newest signing, Las Vegas rock band The Higher [formerly known as September Star]. Fiddler describes them as "an amazing mix of rock and pop and is for fans of New Found Glory, Saves the Day, and The Starting Line." Their debut EP will be released this October.

I live in Vegas and I'm pretty up to date with the bands in this area as I play in one myself and book shows but never once have I ever heard of a band called The Higher being from here .. Is it possible you have the wrong city ? or did a band all of a sudden get a name change? I'm just curious is all.. if so GO VEGAS!!

I'm from vegas as well, just recently heard that september star changed their name.It does say "The Higher [formerly known as September Star]" But yeah, I'm excited for them. They're playing at the huntridge on the 28th. SO Yay.

Hey motherfuckers... why haven't you posted the news about the Descendents signing with Fat Wreck and releasing their next full-length in January (and an EP sometime before)? Are the Descendents not punk-rock enough for punknews.org?

Dude relax. The news has been floating around for weeks but we needed more than a message board post to go on. Even though it looked like a sure thing we wanted to hear from Fat before we posted anything. We really aren’t too concerned with "breaking" stories before anyone else as much as we are with being a tad more reliable then some of the rumor sites out there. Trust me, you’ll be getting more than your fill of Descendents news from us in the coming months. -adam

Intense drum beats, intricate riffs, get stuck in your head all day melodies tied together with amazing vocals. To say the least that is THE HIGHER!!!! to compare them to NFG and whatever else is robbing them. They work sooooo hard it's ridiculous to say they sound like anyone else. They have their own individual sound check them out for yourself. Fiddler made a wise choice with this band.

its depressing knowing that they work this hard to be just another cute teenage marketing tool....and you sir are insane their sound was compared wisely. the higher are talented, but it doesn't mean that they don't suck.

fiddler. why? as if they (New Found Glory, Saves the Day, and The Starting Line) weren't bad enough, you have to bring another in to the world? especially after you dissed nfg in an interview, saying they make terrible cds and you dont care that they were once on your label? i almost respected you for the bled, too.

i want to read this interview. i am from florida and i've never heard fiddler say a bad thing about new found- not even when they left for drive thru. and you're a dumbass for not loving the bled- it has nothing to do with respectr.

THIS IS THE WORST BAND EVER!! O.K I live in Las Vegas and have had the horrible experience of seeing this band and my god are they bad. Think of every horrible emo or pop punk band and double the terribleness and you get september star.
