Kill Your Idols/Crime in Stereo Split EP released today

"The long awaited split from these two Long Island hardcore bands was officially released today on Blackout! Records. The EP, which offers up two new songs and a Sheer Terror cover by Kill Your Idols and three new jams from Crime in Stereo, is available through the Blackout! site as well as MerchDirect and other retailers throughout the country. The vinyl press of this release is currently in the works."

OK, 3 points... 1. Both bands kick serious ass. 2. Possible split of the year? 3. How many fucking splits have Kill Your Idols done now. It seems like every couple of months. -sickboi

the vocalist doesn't have much range - every song sounds the same.

This is the blurb on Crime in Stereo from interpunk (good, I made a similar comparison in a show review and I was afraid people thought I was crazy) Crime In Stereo, also from Long Island, NY share the same drive and scene loyatly that KYI does, but their old-school background is highlighted with a radio-friendly, modern punk rawk flourish. (think: Movielife, Brand New)

Track list KYI- From XLII to UR90 KYI- Why Can’t I? KYI- Time Don’t Heal A Thing CIS- 2x Daily CIS- Ain’t All Hugs N Handshakes CIS- My Own Private South Oakes And KYI are not just fucking average. Their first EP "This is Just The Beginning" and first album "No Gimmicks Needed" are simply stellar examples of real fucking hardcore. As for CIS, they're like the second coming of Gorilla Biscuits, except better, cuz they don't pretend to be straightedge.
