Lords sign to Initial

Initial Records has signed Louisville, KY supergroup Lords to their label. The band, featuring ex-members of The National Acrobat, Brothers Of Conquest, Slow Suicide, Irina, and Red Sun, is described as "BLACK FLAG meets KARP with early IRON MAIDEN guitar runs sprinkled throughout; hints of old RYE COALITION and INK & DAGGER can also be found if you look hard enough." Initial will be releasing the band's debut EP, House That Lords Built, on April 20th.

I love Black Flag, but usually find about anything that gets compared to them to be incredibly mediocre.......except, of course, The Circle Jerks and all the shit from the '80's hardcore scenes, but as far as now days bands.....blah!

What era of Black Flag.......they are all amazing in my opinion. But we need more in my head/my war influenced material.

i'm totally out of the loop, is rye coalition known enough for people to compare other bands to? i just thought the signed the other day and were another college rock band.

Rye Coalition have been around for years, and used to be a noisy screamy dissonant rock band. The new stuff, I'm not so much into, but check out Hee Saw Duh Kuyt (i know i spelled that wrong, but it's something along those lines). It's a fucking killer album.

OOO OOO, it's all EX MEMBERS!!! OOO OOO and you described their sound solely by using the names of other bands!!! Ooo OOOooo Me thinks this band is early horseshit, mixed with total BS, and a hint of PR reps sprinkled throughout.
