Rx Bandits DVD release date

with this news from MashDownBabylon Records:

"The first independent Rx Bandits release in 6 years is set to come out on MashDownBabylon records and we are vey stoked!! The release date right now looks to be April 27th and will be followed by a short DVD release tour of the west coast. The DVD consists of the entire uncut perfomance of the War is Worthless benefit concerts form march of last year as well as tons of other footage ranging from bootlegs to acoustic perfomances. It is 2 hours long and only 10 bucks! Whoa we`re freakin crazy... We will let you know more as the project progresses!!

In other RxB and MDB Records news, the label will be releasing the Bandits side project Satori, a reggae combo fronted by Steve Borth with Matt Embree and Chris Tsagakis. The trio's 3-song EP will be available soon through MDB.

Nice, so they are releasing on their own label now. They didn't seem to happy with Drive Thru but then again who can blame them, they don't fit into their group of clone bands

i think that theyre still on drive thru, but they just wanted to release their dvd on their own label. although, after their contract expires, theyll probably end up going on mdb anyway. theyre big enough that they can go to a smaller label and still reach people with their music, both physically and mentally.

they've been trying to put out a DVd for a long time (and a live album) but DTR doesn't seem to want to help at all. sogood for them getting it done themselves

Let's hope MDB won't reward people who pre-order the DVD like Drive-Thru "rewarded" those with a screwed up DVD audio. It's since been fixed, but it sucks to have a version where all the audio is out-of-sync. -Painaxl

they used to be ska. but since they don't have a genre now, there can be no icon. so the logical thing would be to just use the ska icon. stop whining. it shouldn't make too much of a difference in the long run.
