Tarantulas Records is reporting that The Explosion are headed into the studio to record their Tarantulas / Virgin debut. It should be out this fall. Before that time they'll have a track on Fat Wreck Chords' Rock Against Bush: Volume Two compilation along with Green Day, Foo Fighters and The Bouncing Souls among others.
Tarantulas is also releasing limited edition vinyl pressings of the latest albums from The Bronx and The Distillers. Check the label's website for availability. Like just about everyone else these days, Tarantulas will also have a SXSW showcase this year. On March 19th they'll take over The Copper Tank in Austin, TX with performances by The Lot Six, The Static Age and Darker My Love. Tarantulas Records (19 comments)

I'm really curious as to how this record will come out. The Explosion have been tinkering with their sound a lot on the last 2 EPs, but the track on the Tarantulas comp might as well have been off Flash Flash Flash. Anyway, it's all been good, and hopefully this will be too. 2+ Replies
