"Initial Records annual music festival, Krazy Fest, which was slated for its seventh year this summer has been indefinitely postponed. It may be completely dead and gone forever. We don't really know for sure at this point. We're trying to save it, but it's not looking good. One thing we do know for sure is that it will not be happening May 28-30, 2004. So cancel those flights and tell your boss you will be available to work that weekend.
Perhaps Krazy Fest 7 will take place at the end of the summer or in the Fall. Maybe it ill never happen. We'll see. We'll let you know any updated information as soon as have some. Check www.KRAZYFEST.com for the most up to date and accurate information.
Plans are still in place to release DVD's from previous Krazy Fests. We hope to have a DVD release from Krazy Fest 5 ready by Fall 2004 and one from Krazy Fest 6 ready for release in Spring 2005."

Man, I hope this is a joke. I mean, how many people actually FLY there? Not many I know. I hope tomorrow they say April Fools! and announce the greatest lineup since the 1997 Chicago Bulls. -sickboi 4+ Replies

This was announced yesterday. Not sure how many April fools jokes run for 3 days. Plus, can you imagine how pissed people would be if they cancelled plans (whether it was planes, hotels, or work obligations) who couldn't reverse them if this was actually a joke? I don't think Krazyfest is that dumb. They want as many people to buy tickets to this thing as possible, and I doubt they'd risk sales over a joke.

The only reason I think this would be a April fools joke is they give no reason why it's not happening. If they need money they should put some big sob story like the guy from Suburban Home did.

i'm bummed, i organize my summer plans around this thing, making sure i'm home in PA (from CA) during that time so we can drive for 13 hours and have an amazing weekend. i'm seriously really sad about this. 1+ Reply

Dammit! Krazy Fest put this town on the map (who cares about a 2 min. horse race anyway?). I live right outside Louisville and always hated that not too many bands come here to play and always looked forward to Krazy Fest to make up for the "lack" of bands. Oh well, atleast we got Black Cross. 1+ Reply
