Facing New York is battling gas prices with other people's junk
Bay Area, California'sFacing New York have made some steps towards a more environmentally friendly tour. While on the road, they are traveling in a four door economy car, which in turn leads to borrowing instruments and not bringing merch. This is an attempt to save on fuel costs as well as lower emissions, as the band is also accepting donations to purchase carbon offsets.

Updates from Facing New York; dates with Coheed, keyboardist departs
Facing New York has sent us some updates on happenings within the band.
First, the band has announced the amicable departure of keyboardist Rene Carranza, set for early September. Carranza has parted ways with the band in order to continue his education at UC Berkeley.

Eastern Youth announce March US tour
Five One's Japanese import, Eastern Youth have announced some US tour dates in March. The band will be supporting 365 Step Blues, only the second Stateside release from the perrenial post-punk act from Tokyo. The release will include two extra tracks besides those on the original release and features original art design by Yoriko Yoshino who was responsible for Cursive's recent b-sides compilation.
