The complete package. Strung Out solidifies themselves as the hard-core representatives of speed in the new pop-punk wave. User friendly enough that they don't produce the garage sound, but not over-produced so much that the music gets lost in the teen-angst. This album, unfortuantely, may be the.

The complete package. Strung Out solidifies themselves as the hard-core representatives of speed in the new pop-punk wave. User friendly enough that they don't produce the garage sound, but not over-produced so much that the music gets lost in the teen-angst. This album, unfortuantely, may be the only standout for the California group, as follow-up efforts like "Twisted By Design" and the more recent "Elements of Sonic Defiance" are yet to find the honesty and power of their predecessor. Still, for the faithful, Strung Out continues to represent the darker, more heavy side of pop-punk.

what does that mean? I suggest starting at #4 and going from there. A perfect album, always in rotation since 1996.

1,2 and 3 are very good songs with "solitare" being the poppiest. wrong side of the tracks, gearbox, radio suicide, never good enough, sonombulance.... ahhhh... :)

oh and BOYD

Strung Out.

fathead (April 21, 2001)

you are a fool. everything strung out out has ever done is flawless. they are so far from pop/punk that i'm thinking you must have been drunk when you wrote that. Twisted By Design is one of the most talented recordings in the history of punk music. STWB is probably their best, but this review does it no justice.
