This is ridiculous. Out of the 19 tracks on this CD, 5 are currently available for download on Epitaph's webpage [Pennywise, Division Of Laura Lee, Randy, Death By Stereo, and 98 Mute]. 2 are available on BYO Records webpage [you guessed it, the Rancid and NOFX tracks are both from the split]. At least 2 [that I can remember] have also been previously available for download on Epitaph's webpage [the Millencolin and Hot Water Music songs]. Even if you don't believe in downloading whole CDs, if you would have kept your eyes open you would have already downloaded half of this CD legally. Maybe it's just me, but I think that's lame.

Another lame thing about this comp is the lack of unreleased material. Only three bands contributed new, unreleased material - Death By Stereo, Hot Water Music, and Guttermouth. Not exactly Epitaph's "A List." The Guttermouth song is trite and sophomoric. The Hot Water Music song has *way* too many "woah"s in it and is now my least favorite HWM song ever. Death By Stereo, a band that I never really liked before, doesn't do much to change my mind here with this new song. All in all, the unreleased material was a big dud.

As for the previously released material [that's not already available for download somewhere], the [International] Noise Conspiracy's "Up For Sale" is by far the best track, followed closely by Beatsteaks' "God Knows." Bad Religion and Pulley both give good rockers off their last albums, and I actually like the Deviates song [okay, more like I can tolerate it].

For a label that has been doing so much growing artistically in the past year, this sampler reeks of stagnancy and complacency. A lot of these releases that the songs are from came out over a year ago. Where's the new blood of the label? The CD's cause isn't helped much considering the lack of good unreleased material on here. I honestly can't recommend this to anyone, really. There's a glut of label samplers/compilations coming out lately, and they're all about the same price. Pick up one other than this one, unless you're a diehard Epi-fan.

98 Mute - M.A.D.
Division Of Laura Lee - Black City
Millencolin - Fingers Crossed
Hot Water Music - Wayfarer
Death By Stereo - Wasted Words
Pennywise - The World
Randy - Addicts of Communication
NOFX - Olympia, WA

WHERE !?!?! Where are you people finding this for less than 20 ? Actually, make that less than 10,cause that's still too much for a compilation. Also, what about the first Hopelessly Devoted to You,anyone know about that one, anywhere ?

I'm not even some kinda 'hardcore' punk or epitaph fan, but I've heard most of this already for free for god's sake! This is a lazy comp. At least the European version is bound to have some more lovely European Bands to listen to.

Also POR 1 costs five quid here. (7 dollars? I dunno)

    My Score:

20 bucks is overpriced. you can get it for 12 or 13 (which is still overpriced imo).

i got the feeling w/ this punkorama that w/ all the current 'punk' bands and the like booming right now like its fukin '94 again i think epitaph had non-fans or new fans in mind. if u didnt know dick about epi-bands this would be a gr8 comp. longterm fans want unreleased shit but often that isnt the catchyest stuff. if i was 15 and just saw the tinc on tv or somethning and bouthght this, or got it cuz it says 'punk' on the front and my friend told me saves the day, thursday, the hives, sum41, nfg, and blink were 'punk' i might buy it to find more bands. and shit what if they do? good for them. thats my take on this. kids htat may not have ever surfed to epitaph.com. they posted those for the fans. this is for the newbies. lata.

I have a few things to say... First,I bought this the day it came out at FYE because it almost rounds out my Punk O Rama collection. This is the worst POR so far,and that makes me sad.even the NOFX and Millencolin tracks failed to pique my interest. Also,am I the only one who got the free Extreme Sound Sample from Tower ? With another 10 tracks,it would have kicked the shit out of this POR,as it is,it's pretty good. Can anyone tell me where I can get the original Punk O Rama ? The only places I've found it,it's like 20 bucks, and I'm not paying that much for a compilation, even if would complete my collection,oh,i also need the Hopelessly Devoted to You comp. if anyone can help, post about it please.

    My Score:

You're an idiot. The only reason you pay for POR discs is because Epitaph has to pay to have it pressed, shipped, and all that fun. THEY DON'T HAVE TO DO ANY OF THIS WITH MP3s!

Fucking pussies! Death By Stereo is one of the best bands Epitaph has right now.

The Beatsteaks song kicks ass! How come the album is so hard to get?

    My Score:

Yeah, I bought this album a few weeks ago and I can't say that there was anything memorable on there.

I know that the purpose of a sampler is to sample songs and bands but it kind of works out as just a various artist cd. It's ok for background music when you're trying to sleep:)

    My Score:

Yeah...the HWM song rules bigtime- so does their other new track "Remedy"- I REALLY can't wait for the new album, it's gonna be great. HWM was the first band i ever saw live, about 4 years ago- it was by accident really- and they ruled. This album's gonna be killer. So is the new DBS album.

The only reason I'd get this is for TINC and Hot water music, but since Im going to get TINCS cd and the hwm song is DEFIANTLY FAR FROM THEIR BEST, Ill avoid to purchase this

    My Score:

this is the first punk-o-rama that i didnt buy... there is absolutly no reason to get it. Epitaph needs to straighten themselves out.

also, if you remeber those "extreme summer sound samplers" that they handed out last year, most of the songs from those 2 editions were on either 6 or 7.

what happened to the juggornaut POR used to be?

Guttermouth mp3 was available from Epitaph earlier as well. I don't think it's trite though.
