On Saturday July 27th Yellowcard had a free in-store acoustic performance in Thousand Oaks, CA. The first time had seen Yellowcard was not too long ago at the Ventura Warped Tour. I was impressed enough to go to this free show and check them out in an intimate setting. Please login or register to post comments. What are the benefits of having a Punknews.org account?
On the front of Yellowcard playing acoustically, no band is good if they cant come up with acoustic ways to play their songs, especially if they are going to do an "acoustic" show. The review was good, had both sides of what people think. This band has some good points, but there are way too many bad points that i won't go into because half you out there don't know enough about music to get it. I will just give them props on their lyrics... that ia all they've got going for them. I have to agree with the reviewer. I have seen YellowCard many times here in Jacksonville. I saw an acoustic show the other day in a music store. It really sucked compared to how good they are in a louder setting. I like the band, I am just saying every show is not going to be great. Liking a band does not mean that you have to say they can do no wrong. They should stick to more rock shows, and leave the Dashboard stuff to someone else. man F*CK all you haters out there! YELLOWCARD is good music! any guitarist knows its a hell of alot harder to play somethin acoustic if you learned it electric! but ok we'll see where YELLOWCARD is in a couple years with their label they are on and then we'll see where all ur no name unsigned same old punk bands are! yellowcard is original! who else does acoustic, emo, pop/punk and yet some real punk as well! yellowcard licks, most overrated band ever. - bigjerk maybe they didnt know how to play the new songs in a way that the electric versions translated well to being acoustic. this is the only band i can think of that played in my town and they suck, how depressing. What - they didn't know how to play their new stuff - they have been doing the EP songs live for weeks....that's a shame. theres not much room for too much stage presence when its an acoustic set... wow, now it feels like...it feels like i was there at the show! such vivid imagery. just wait til this kid gets to middle school! This is the best review i have ever read in my entire life. |
