Ok, first off, I was at this show for the promise ring. This show was held in a multi-purpose room at my college so that was cool. I got there, and waiting in line I could tell that people weren't there to see TPR. People who liked this also liked:   Please login or register to post comments. For someone that knows not a lot about hardcore and then runs into 2 acts like poison the well and hatebreed you would immediately say that they sound alike. Hatebreed is not nu-metal. Rock that is popular and goes on Ozzfest is not automatically nu-metal. Hatebreed is hardcore and, in my opinion, a damn good hardcore band. I dont like hardcore, I certainly dont like poison the well, but I do like Hatebreed.-BostonMusicGuy who here can actually hear the lyrics of most bands when they play live? even with non screaming bands, the lyrics are hard to hear due to the guitars or drums playing louder than the vocals. I went to pfp in portland and this review basically sums up the show down there too This is the PFP show I saw and I 100% agree with the reviewer on pretty much everything. The support for Common Rider was unbelievable. It actually seemed like people were there to see CR as opposed to a lot of the other PFP stops where it seems (I'm just going on the reviews) like people wanted to see Op Ivy. Amazing band, amazing performance. word it up to the last 8 comments... worded up to to the comment below me lol, i like that comment 2 down from this one. and the promise ring does rock! The promise ring is awesome wow, you guys suck. that's about all i have to say except the following.... anyone who thinks that pointing out that a bunch of jocks were at a poison the well show is sterotyping is a dumbass poison the well is fuckin terrible.... you guys are so cool on here. and i love your intelligent reply's too... shows that poison the well fans are going somewhere in life. poison the well is some of the garbage thats around right now. generic, boring, unoriginal. Poison the Well is a great band, very intense. Better than most of the garbage out there. poison the well owns hatebreed. hatebreed are the numetal kings now that they've been on ozzfest. I graduated from Western in June. I went back up there to see INC. When I found out they weren't playing I went to the bars and got drunk instead. I always go to the bars and get drunk instead. Then I went home and my girlfriend and I did are our own noise conspiracy so her roomate wouldn't hear. That would be so cool if HWM or Alk3 played in Bellingham. Later poison the well owns you. And yes they do have lyrics and they are very good. Hav you heard their lead singer sing on Henry's cover of "I've Heard It Before"? It's awesome! poison the well's lyrics are great, it's one of the main reasons i bought the album. i don't think they really sound like hatebreed, they have melodic parts that blow hatebreed out of the water. Okay review. The only thing good about it was knowing that promise ring have broken up. Poison the Well does have lyrics, if you listen closely you can hear that he clearly annunciates words and many people connect with their lyrics. And also, people sometimes connect with a band's music, even if they don't connect with their lyrics. And comparing them to Hatebreed shows your ignorance. Just because a band is screamy and metalish doesn't mean they sound like Hatebreed. PTW sound *nothing* like them. People who know nothing about hardcore always compare hardcore bands to Hatebreed (even thought they're one of the worst bands in hardcore) because that's the only one they've ever heard. If you don't like hardcore, that's fine, but please don't make comments based on your ignorance of the genre. I think this little kid refers to anyone who lifts weights as a "jock". What a stupid little moron. Just because someone is in good shape and likes screaming music doesn't mean you can generalize them, damn you people are stupid! I hate it when you little idiots say "I don't like pennywise cause there are too many jocks who like it"- it's like GROW THE FUCK UP!!!! If you don't like the way it sounds then great, but damn, who cares who listens to it. babies. WHO CARES! Stupid little kids. If the music is good then listen to it, you're more superficial than a highschool girl, damn. I fucking hate fat kids. Fat kids Loooooovveee poison the well. Though fat kids love operation ivy and the promise ring too. So there were probably a lot of fat kids at this mess of musical leukemia jocks do like poison the well, all he was trying to do was review a band from a genre he doesnt like. jerk.
