The Anubis

Multiverse (2015)

self released

The Anubis is a three piece band from New York City. They recorded their debut album Multiverse at Fenix Recording studios on Staten Island.

The album is a fantastic specimen of guitar-driven punk rock. In a time where pop-garbage reigns supreme in the eyes of the mainstream, this record is a refreshing reminder that there are still bands out there making great music - even if it is not widely known. There is a great mix of heavy, soft, and everything in between on this album. Loud guitars and great vocal melodies mixed with raspy screams encompassing everything you might want in a punk rock record. The more poppy numbers like "Tomorrow", "Take me Home", "Punk Too", and "Thanksgiving" are balanced by the sheer rock shrill of tracks like "Mood Swing", "Road to Nowhere", and "The Flatlands".

Definitely worth checking out. I'm looking forward to more from The Anubis.
