On November 11th 2002, the Mighty Mighty Bosstones made their stop at the House of Blues Orlando on the Jacknife to a Swan tour along with BigWig and Avoid One Thing. The first band to take the stage caught me by surprise and that was the Orlando based ska-core band the Spitvalves. I've seen the Spitvalves numerous times and they always impress me with their energy and their actual set. What surprised me though was the fact that they played first. They're bigger here than Avoid One Thing is but no big deal. My only complaint with their set this time around is that they played more new songs that I wasn't familiar with but they were still good. cant wait to see avoid one thing on warped tour,gonna kick ass bigwig owns your fuckin balls you bitch. Bigwig is awesome and all who say otherwise will be lay dead in the wake of my wrath....actually i'll just hate you and stuff.. I asw em when they played at the State Theater in St. Pete. I only caught the end of Avoid One Thing's set and spent all of it looken around for a friend who was supposd to meet me there. Bigwig kicked some serious ass, as did the Bosstones. The only shitty part was the 20 dollar door cost, but ah well, still one of the better shows I've been to. whoever said bigwig sucks needs to grow some balls.. This show is like $15. Damn all that. Bigwig owns though. i think fathead was the only one that made fun of rbf. i love them. i wish i could be at one of these shows. i might be able to catch one of the MO ones, but it's doubtful. avril is def. cute, but i don't know if i'd say she's drop dead hot. and that whore christina, even with the boob job, still has a busted face. This score is for Bigwig. For the anonomous poster below me, no one cares that you have a hairy ass cheek. I mean who has a hairy ass cheek. Weird. Big Wig sucks ass. I saw them open up for Less Than Jake back in August. Christina's actually looking pretty good now that she's put on a few pounds. Now all she needs is a face transplant. No way, the hottest of all of them would be your mom...ahhh 8 year old humor never gets old. Avril would be hot if she didn't act/dress like a 12 year old. Besides Jon, I think everyone here knows I like RBF more than anyone. trust me, everytime someone makes fun of me they say "he is gay, well what do you expect he likes RBF." So please, next time just keep your mouth shut, I absolutely love that band, I hope my arguement was clearer this time haha. I haven't heard that many people bash RBF here actually. I've seen them (rightfully) beat down those who think they were the end all be all of the skapunk trend. However, just because most of the bands you like gets you abused, doesn't mean that all of them do. Please don't take the RBF name in vain to help with your martyrdom. You obviously missed the point of me saying that ska sucks....ska isn't "cool" anymore but nobody told the bosstones that. ska rules. hey wuss boy, whatever you were blabbling about wasnt clear enough. if you are going to ATTEMPT to defend yourself, at least make a decent and clear argument. shesh, some people eh? ska doeesnt suck. this review/er sux... me, refering to wussemorock talking about poppy ass candy music, yeah, that is simple plan, but RBF??!....you dont know what your talking about pal. they make fun of the poppy ass candy shit and you are probably too slow to realize that "What kind of morons are down in Orlando if they don't know that." Seriously. simple plan wasn't even at the show being reviewed...my suggestion would be to wait til someone reviews the show with simple plan being there then the anti simple plan comments would be welcome....or not. the song "I'd do anything" by simple plan is enjoyable to me...(minus a bazillion punk points) I find Greg Graffin's voice soothing....don't ask me why. But the guy from Simple Plan!?!? I guess everyone's got their own opinion. But I still think you're a narc asshole Wuss. You think the guy from Simple Plan's voice is SOOTHING?! And then you say you dont like the Bosstones... wow you really have a FUCKED up mind.-BostonMusicGuy why the bosstones are touring with simple plan is beyond me, i guess dicky is throwing these guys a bone. simple plan is worse than fucking creed. hell, i'll take limp bizkit over simple plan. you can't get more artificial and more uninspiring or more unexciting than simple plan. Not even the Bosstones could save this show. This is just a guess, but maybe I just don't like the Bosstones. Ever think of that smart guy? I'd go to this tour for Bigwig and Simple Plan, then leave. catch my drift? Stupid mass transit system not having a stupid train that goes to stupid worcester. Pimp alias. every time i hear about "avoid one thing" i think of their drummer Dave Karcich who passed ealrier this year. just wanted to comment to give props for what he did for ska and punk music. the spitvalves are a great band. they should be bigger than they actually are. i saw this lineup twice, in back to back nights in dc. amazing. the best two nights of my life. aot is solid, bigwig fucking rules, and the bosstones never disappoint. ever. and i've already seen them 6 times now. go see this show if you guys get the chance. you won't regret it. They didnt play after AOT, it says after the spitvalves came AOT. this score is for the reviewer. Who doesn't know that AOT is Joe's band. What kind of morons are down in Orlando if they don't know that, and why in the world would the Spitvalves play after AOT. Who cares where they're from. AOT is solid and very well-known around the country I love the Spitvalves. They put on a great show. I'm seeing this show (if i dont procrastinate and get tickets today) on wednesday...oohhhh shit i cannot wait to see bigwig.. i'm seeing this tour a week from today and i'm fuckin stoked for it (except for the fact that a simple plan is opening) This score is for the reviewer's name.
