I bought my ticket for the escape plan a few weeks before the show, it was supposedly sold out earlier this week, but still many people showed up without tickets, and some got in, others watched from outside of the social, an intimate venue of a 450 capacity. Oh, im sorry, i just remember him saying "this one is called the running board", i didnt remember any break between the song, i thought thats what he was playing when he spit the fire, sorry, my mistake. I was at the show and the last song (the one he breathed fire to) was "43% Burnt." And I believe it was some sort of hard liquor, not kerosene. I have no idea how he got away with that, cuz i've seen the Social kick out kids for dancing/kicking in the pit. In any case, they fuckin rocked it hard. I'm not a big metal fan, but I love DEP and their live shows are like something I've never seen before. i was at the show, it was really amazing, what a way to start my 17 year of life, seeing my bday was nov 30th and the show was the 3rd...everyone must see this tour! DEP are fucking badass, i need to see them live. Norma Jean are sick too. I have seen Mastadon several times, they own the crowd when they play. I highly recommend checking them out. Ohhh shit! Norma Jean will fucking destroy you. I wish this tour was coming to Tuffalo. That's the coolest thing i've ever heard of someone doing!!!!! How bout Dillinger in Reading England when Greg shit right on the stage and dedicated it to the crowd for all the shit bands everybody was going to see the rest of the day. Those bands included Slipknot and Prodigy and Incubus. Dillinger is worth a lot of money to see best stage show ever, they go fucking retarded and it is so awesome Yeah, I was at Krazy Fest, their set was freaking insane. One song into their set and they had already busted guitars and cut themselves. they have curtains at the social now...good review by the way I had a couple friends who went to this show they said it was gooooooood. I saw DEP last night in Chicago...this guy is fucking great...He was totally awesome on the Patton tracks, Hollywood Squares sounded really good. Did any of you catch them at Krazyfest this year? That place went nuts when they did "Rebel Yell". doesn't he shoot the fire during 43% burnt? (he did in Austin) And I think he uses a hard liquor, not kerosene. Other than that, yeah. DEP is infuckingsane. He sounded good, there was a difference, but for the most part he sounded dead on, he sounded exactly like him on the intro to "come to daddy" he screamed most of the effects, and he also screamed those slow, sung breakdowns from "calcultaing infinity" Question for anyone at the shows on this tour: how did Greg sound singing the Patton tracks? I'm wondering if they sound any good without the crazy effects. Does he just do a straight-forward scream on them? DEP is to this day, one of the few bands that I will watch from a distance. They are that fucking nuts. I have seen them live three times and every time is absolute insanity. how the hell did they get away with that torch stunt. at most venues these days you get jumped by security guards for sneezing. carosene: spelled kerosene. | Features
