Posted by Anonymous on Sunday, May 14, 2006 at 1:21 AM (EDT) hehe its all true Dashboard is pure shit, I agree that this is emo, but it has a emo/punk sound. Pure emo is Dashboard and thses guys don't sound like Dashboard. AFS what would you call AFS then??? you can't just say Pop cause you have to have something to seperate them from that Gwen Stefani shit Newsflash. i know that, but i'm saying for a website called PUNKnews.org you seem to diss just about every punk band. Scoreds for you intelligence. you know toledo, for a punk website you sure seem to hate punk music Bad Cd. Pretty damn good im just rating the album.... This album's pretty sweet. mad hardcore, on ythe emo side, definately good if your dirt bag girl friend just broke up with you. "why did i ever let you indide my heart, i'm a such a fool." They fuckin rock this reviewer sucks big cock. what the hell is this reviewer talking about every song on this cd is a catchy song. to all you "hardcore" kids who think everything but hardcore is crap............ GO FIST YOURSELF. every form of music in my mind is ok with me. im not going to like everything but im not gonna fuckin hate on it either. keep to your own bulshit and stop worrying about hating. i like some of the music on the radio. i can even get along with GOOD CHARLOTTE. most of the music i like isn't popular and i like it that way. I don't know what everyone has against senses fail, they kick ass, as far as their new cd goes "Let It Enfold You" which comes out at the end of april 2004 it's a million times better, i didn't think it could get that good cause i already got it, i say fuck you guys who hate them If i didn't like it, I wouldn't give it as high a score as it got. And there is a lot of music that incorporates what you said that I like, but this is a less-than-perfect example of it. Am I allowed to think something's just pretty good and not great? Nothing I've reviewed has gotten less than 3 stars...so I'm really not completely sure what you're talking about. i dont know senses fail, but this comment is not about the album it is to inagreendase, i thought critics/reviewers were supposed give an unbiased, neutral view? obviously you dont like "Mild Depression, Relatively Cheesy and Repetitive Lyrics, Consistently Midtempo Frame" music. I read youre other reviews and you dont seem to enjoy any music. and all the rest of you should fuck off, why waste your time to bitch about what music you dont like? I love Senses Fail and I love this album...but mostly I want to comment on another comment. Someone said that One Eight Seven sounds like Crush...a Jimmy Eat World song from their Clarity album (which came out in 1999 by the way, not 1996)...and I have to wonder when the last time they actually listened to that album was because neither Crush nor any song on Clarity sounds anything like One Eight Seven. Thinking they were full of bullshit I listened to every Jimmy Eat World song I have trying to find one that was comparable and the best I could do was Anderson Mesa which is on Static Prevails...which did come out in 1996...the intro was similar though much slower than One Eight Seven...though really, I don't see how Jimmy Eat World and Senses Fail could ever be compared to one another. Next time you want to bash a band by accusing them of stealing another's music, make sure you actually have your facts straight. There are lots of songs and bands that sound similar...it's bound to happen...I mean bands listen to other bands and are influenced by them...also some bands grew up together...Brandnew and Taking Back Sunday for instance...or members leave one band to join another and bring with them that sort of sound...like Good Charlotte and Wakefield (sorry if they're not your kind of "punk," but I needed an example). So, just give the guys a break...there have been many bands that I couldn't get into when I first heard them, but after giving them another chance, I now love...and even if you still can't stand them, at least try to appreciate them for what they give to those who enjoy their music...no musician is "useless" (as someone earlier said Senses Fail was)...but all misanthropes are useless...so lets try to be a little less cynical. alright this cd is fuckin great... not pop-punk though damn it. only bad thing is some songs go on for too long If i ever had to listen to this shit i wish my senses would fail. These guys totaly blow the big one here. Why the fuck do all these emo bands think theyre so damn cool because they like deep, dark, scary things. Give me a fukin break... There is nothing deep, dark or scary about this band, typical whinny lyrics about some bitch that broke their your heart. And of course they have to have their cute little haircuts, jeans, and trucker hats. All you punk kids keep saying that image is the most important thing in the mainstream and not important at all in your scence, bull-fuckin-shit. Its part of the emo code that you have to dress this way, image is just as important as the terrible music in the emo-scene...... When the fuck is somebody going to break the mold and realize that this crap is not good music.. I give this album double negative infinity stars. good review... and my favorite song is dreaming a reality.. score is for the review as regards the song 1 8 7. has anyone heard of this obscure rock band called jimmy eat world. they wrote that song seven years ago (i'm pretty sure clarity came out in 1996) and called it 'crush.'(or one of the other middle track on clarity, can't remb) then senses fail plays the song a little faster and it has a new name? it def up there in the biggest note for note song ripoffs of all time. not this band isn't kinda cool, i just wish they'd write they're own songs more often. (i mean, that song 'stephen' is pretty cool) i thought that drive thru was not cool anymore. and i think that this band is absolutely useless . I think this album is pretty good, this band has blown up and theyve only been around for a year and a half. They put on a good show as well. It does seem that you may be a fan of fucking pre-teen boys harder than a catholic priest though. holy shit am i the only one who liked this cd? what the fuck... oh well i dont care what you people think, i think Sense Fail is awesome... and no i am not a Drive Thru fan "this cd it awful...i couldn't even make it through one whole song" "this cd it awful...i couldn't even make it through one whole song" i think senses fail is a great band. they're great guys, and their music is very good, they also put on a great live show. i like that song 1 8 7 and the artwork, especially the parental advisory. You know, almost every record with one is fucking ROCK. i like this album .. but i was pissed that drive-thru just re-released it and they didn't even record a new one. the two bonus tracks blow I'm sure the record sucks, but this score is for the review. Excellent job, I feel like I know exactly what the album sounds like. Great review! Almost as good as the Calvin & Hobbes review. | Features
