Just when you start to think hardcore will never be what it used to be - perhaps permanently transformed from a positive youth movement into another trend for label execs to feast on and for hot topic kids to listen to in order to scare their parents - you hear an album like Turn it Around. 13 wonderful songs in a span of something like 28 minutes, and best of all, released just this March. The only CD that can top this is Give Blood. this album is phenomenal...im not even a fan of most bands of this hardcore genre.....but this band blows every other hardcore band out of the water including bane....yes i said it including bane....if you dont like this band u are a close minded hawthorne heights fan who has no balls most likely This isn't a christian band, but they're "christains-in-a-band". Since when did hardcore and Christ become best buds? Don't want to exclude Christians, b/c thats just more stupid fighting and intolerance, but this kinda makes me scared. Christian punk and HC is no different from Skrewdriver, or even Crass, for that matter. I want to hate this band, but can't. Kinda like Gorilla Biscuits playing Bane songs. Good crap. You know you're a hardcore band on Victory Records when they sell your tshirt at Hot Topic. decent. something about all the gang background vocals annoys the hell out of me though. orgazmic CD. fucking, fucking, fucking great. Hardcore how it has to be! cool This album is awesome and they tore it up at hellfest 2004 I can't believe I got suckered into buying this CD. That's $11.99 down the fuckin drain. How many people does it take to sing backups, a hundred? If anything, this is worse than SAS or Figure Four. This cd is so powerful. Their music is so intense and aggressive it has to grab you. It stand out above a lot of other stale hardcore bands today. It's just awesome, finally they're starting to get some recognition for their work. Hell, this is some of the best traditional hardcore, since In My Eyes "Nothing To Hide"! Absolutely unique and for all the melodies stick out (and i can see the Kid Dynamite influence here)! I love this record and all those who're into Champion, Bane, Count Me Out or Stay Gold will be stunned! Hey kid, dont ever come back again because your music totaly sucks and is typical of everything everbody else is doing. Be fukin original and write music.... Not audial defication. Negative 3 billion stars I downloaded some songs by these guys. Nothing overly special. Basic hardcore. Better then some, but nowhere near as good as others. And I'm not seeing the Kid Dynamite influence in it. But on a more positive note:FAMILY GUY SHOULD MAKE A MOVIE!!!! damnnn, i read this review, but went to the store to buy the new None More Black which doesn't come out until tomorrow. So i took a chance, picked this album up and wasn't dissapointed at all. A perfect purchase (and I almost had the nerve to ask the store what their return policy was, just in case i didn't like it.) Oh my goodness!!!! This band is comprised of Christians and is on an outspoken Christian label.. We must boycott it becuase of this!!! I mean, you know hardcore is all about being open minded to other ideas, but not these ideas!!! ahh yes, hardcore for the god fearing homophobe in all of us. and btw, that is some sick cover art. i love the style of drawing, and the concept. i'd pick it up just for that if i saw it in a store. this score is for the cover. i'm in the middle of downloading a few tracks. so far, i like. i am such a fan. whoa, someone knows IN TIME? cool dude. A PERFECT MURDER still takes it all in terms of Canadian hardcore, not to take away from CBK... those albums should be in my top 5 for this year. along with haymaher cursed,no warning, at the mercy of inspiration and in time, canada has been producing some good tunes of late. i like the cover art. kind of looks like them 4th grade fights I use to have. i'm seeing the word "melodic" in a review about a hardcore band, and when this rings true it produces some extremely quality music. So i'd like an honest answer from some people - is this "melodic" like rise against or snapcase? MY Roommate's band Cutter opened for these dudes in Nashville, TN and it was fuckin awesome, man. These dudes are tight as hell. Damn dudes, this better be good. I saw this at the store the other day but didn't buy it, I wish I woulda listened to it! I did pick up the new killing tree ep though and it's awesome. If you're into hardcore music and you dont have this, you'd better be dead, or in jail..and you're in jail, break out! This cd owns. Buy it. This is THE break out hardcore band of 2003. What a record. The tracks that were re-recorded from the demo are 100 times better. This is such a great record. Great stuff yeah, i bought this cd today and god damn it's tits. |
