Okay, I admit it: I like this EP, and I am a New Found Glory fan. They're the only mainstream pop-punk band I like any more. They're just a guilty pleasure of mine.

That being said, I find the music on "From the Screen to Your Stereo" easy to swallow. While the band obviously fails in comparison to Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, they still put forth a decent effort of movie theme cover songs.

From the second their version of "That Thing You Do" starts, I'm hooked. They also offer nice tracks like "Never Ending Story Theme Song", and "My Heart Will Go On". Soft spots on the CD's seven tracks are Aerosmith's "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" and that song from The Goonies.

But as a whole, it still offers plenty of catchy choruses, crisp guitar work, and nostalgia aplenty. They're just fun rock songs. Nothing more, nothing less. If you don't look to deeply into it, then you should enjoy yourself. This is also a must-have for fans of the "Punk Goes..." compilation series.

Wow! This is great. The audio clarity. The bleating bass. The vexing vocals. And the castrated customers. Just to give you a picture of the personal torture which is New Found Glory McNuggets, there is a three-headed dog in Tarterus that is trying to kill itself. Yup, Cerberus is trying to drink anti-freeze to escape this crap. One question, this is punk? Yowzahup.

    My Score:

You're an idiot for implying that old NFG sounds different. The only difference is they can afford a better producer to try and fix their horrible sound.

I don't even know why I'm wasting my time even thinking about this record, or even putting forth effort to bash it.

I'd rather get full blown AIDS than to continue thinking about this garbage. So with that, I'll cut this post off.

    My Score:

If you can't hear the difference between this CD and say, Sticks and Stones, then you're retarded. Actually listen to the CD before you bash it. I know that if any of you listened to both whole CDs you would be able to point out many differences. Then take into consideration how small and new the band was when this came out, and its a great album.

Jesus Christ, you cocks are annoying. This CD sucks, just like every other CD NFG has done. Get over it.

So all of you annoying pricks saying "old NFG was so much better" need to shut up because they've always sounded the same.

    My Score:

MFATGG are a band who can cover songs flawlessly and not sound like generic pop-punk. New Found Glory sounds generic and they have those high pitched vocals. So yes, in my opinion this cd sucks.

In case you guys haven't noticed, NFG has been putting out the same music since they started, so sellout doesn't really fit...

I've never seen so much retarded babbling that didn't concern the cd at all. Sure the review is completely half-assed and my friend's half-retarded little sister is too intelligent for it. But this CD was awesome when it came out, I was surprised to see a review now. And remember, this is back when NFG wasn't sellouts.

    My Score:

Ok. I'm sick of "anon..." talking shit about reviews. If ours suck so bad, write ones yourself that don't sound like the following:

This hardcore band rules because they're sooo hardcore and these bands aren't. Oh, and emo sucks!

The singer's lyrics are honest, and talk about lost loves, and other things. EMO DIARIES IS AWESOME!

This band's CD IS AWESOME!! They mix pop and punk perfectly, all the vocals are just so, the mix is perfect, and they have such original lyrics. This is an amazing punk CD!

Rancid rules because they're real punx! All the rancid cds are better than any others you maggots, go out and buy them or else you're not punk!

Seriously, write a fair and balanced review yourself and then talk. Otherwise, shut the fuck up.

Chad should've stayed with Shai Hulud, he had a strong screaming voice. Geert is better though, more energetic live too.

That Aerosmith cover is horrible. That goddamn high voice! I downloaded it once as one of the first twenty punk covers that Napster came up with a while ago.

Try The Director's Cut by Fantomas, now that's a movie themed album.

They used to play "My Heart Will Go On" with Chad doing hardcore screaming (hey, he did used to be in Shai Hulud after all)...it was cool then. It's an ok E.P, nothing memorable.

"this reviewer has a lack of emotion or strong opinion. i like this album's idea"

That's OK, the watered down music of NFG and their soundalikes also lacks real emotion or any relevant opinions. File this shit under "whining annoyingly about some girl I had a crush on in 9th grade with half time choruses". The only good thing about this EP is they didn't write these songs so the lyrics don't look like a 3rd grader wrote them.

Pedantic this may be, but bands like thses shoudnt even be called punk. All they have that qualifies them being labelled(marketed) so is four(or three)boys on guitars that dress in the cliched 'punk' look and whine about hurt feelings over girls or some similarily boring and pointless subject. You could take the lyrics of a NFG song and have britney spears sing it and make it a palatable 'hit'- i exagerate not.
