The Orlando date of the 2003 warped tour was already better than the 2002 version before it started. Last year's stop was at the dreadful Orlando Speedworld which was the worst place I've ever been to. So with this year's being back at the Central Florida Fairgrounds where it belongs was a step up. i agree; Simple Plan is freakin' awful. bunch of unoriginal, sellout little dweebs. god, their not even good looking guys are they? it figures the one with the "spare tire" is the one that decided to go shirtless all the time. how bland can a group get?! That AFI MTV TAping is probably gonna last 45 minutes and consist of 98 percent "sing the sorrow"tracks! Sppedworld sucked! But LTJ have gone way down hill their set consisted of One good song (Johnny Quest) Rancid's set was the best followed by face to face suicide machines and afi!!! I do not change my mind one bit. I find it shocking that people listen to simple plan, brand new, or anything like that. There is no excuse. That is ridiculous. And there is also no excuse for not liking rancid. That is just ridiculous. You shock me. the fact is the Warped Tour has in recent years just become more and more obvious in terms of what kind of bands are playing. you need the big names like Rancid and Pennywise to REALLY draw, but most of the rest of the bands ar eatarting to all sound the same. this year seems to be overrun with the indie/emo/mall punk types. stuff for the very casual listener. i admit, i'm a bit jaded, but that has nothing to do with the fact that the quality of bands today is somewhat lacking. how many more Simple Plans do we really need? sure, the Ataris got some catchy songs, which is fine, but the Warped Tour could benefit from a bit more variety. there's so much stuff out there, but year after year you kinda know what to expect. how about opening up to some different groups that aren't pushed by MTV? most of these bands are better seen in clubs anyway, where it's more intimate and nowhere near as hot. seriously, i'm so glad i moved to Boston. Orlando's way too hot for outdoor all day tours. it's Africa hot...... last year's venue was horrible.face to face was by far the best band this year.amazing as always "It is absolutely shocking to me how many of you reviewers fail to mention anything about Rancid. I always wonder what kind of idiots listen to stuff like brand new and the used. I guess sites like this is where to find them. unreal. " Maybe people don't mention Rancid because they don't like them and didn't see them. If it bothers you that much, go to Warped and write your own show review, otherwise, stop bitching. It is absolutely shocking to me how many of you reviewers fail to mention anything about Rancid. I always wonder what kind of idiots listen to stuff like brand new and the used. I guess sites like this is where to find them. unreal. "fuck the warped tour... its for dipshits and poseurs and shitty shitty shitty bands... it's that place where every asshole gets to pretend he's "punk" for a day... i love the dumbasses with blue braided hair and and all the sweet slipknot shirts... seriously... darby crash is rolling over in his grave" whats wrong with being a "punk" for a day? Is it so wrong to go out to a big show with all your friends and have fun time? sorry were not as punk as you, 24/7. prick. fuck the warped tour... its for dipshits and poseurs and shitty shitty shitty bands... it's that place where every asshole gets to pretend he's "punk" for a day... i love the dumbasses with blue braided hair and and all the sweet slipknot shirts... seriously... darby crash is rolling over in his grave By the way there was no second off. First off, why the fuck would you even consider seeing simple plan, quite possibly the worst band ever? the score is for the reviewer not bringing ear plugs. I missed out on big d and the kids table too...they played the same time as LTJ...and when I talk about the suicide machines I use the wrong form of "their" it shoulda been they're...minus punk points Oh, I forgot to say that you missed lots of good bands. I did not attend this year. AFI's playing an MTV taping for $8, good thing I didn't pay $30 just for them. |
