In space, no one can hear you scream, but apparently they can hear you play guitar. This EP (one true song, one remix of the first) has a very spacey feel to it at first. When I began to listen to this I didn’t know what to think of it. I like as much weird music as the next guy, but still this was some really strange stuff.

Everything starts of very quietly, only broken by the occasional odd sound that moves from speaker to speaker. As the song progressed, I began to get comfortable with it, and even started to like it. It seemed to be building up to something, but then, just as I expected a major change, nothing changed and the song simply continued as it had. I’m not really sure how to explain this, but the beginning really sounds the like the background sounds from a sci-fi movie, and the odd effects give you the feeling of floating through space while shooting stars zoom past you. Finally, it seems, the song kicks into the change I was expecting several minutes ago. Thick, distorted, droning guitars and hard thumping drums fill my speakers.

I’m not exactly sure who I’d compare this to. Maybe Mogwai, but even that it is a stretch. As I said earlier, there is only one true song on here, “Part I: The Hemophiliac Dream”, but this song is 24 minutes long. I have CDs that aren’t this long. After the first track ends, the remix or “Part II: The Hemophiliac Dream (A James Plotkin Remix)”. If the first track has you floating through out space, the remix is when the aliens burst through your chest. This song was immediate shock to my system after hearing the first track. It starts of with some sort of high pitched shrieking, which is followed by all sorts of strange sound manipulation. I don’t think I’m qualified to judge the remix or make comparisons, but I will say that it held my attention

I don’t know who the target audience for this band would be, but I’d recommend this to anyone looking for something different.

It's not easy to categorize. Sometimes it's drone, other times it's experimental noise. I think it's worth the rating.

is it doom? drone? what? c'mon, give us a clue...
and 3.5 stars? seriously. does it deserve this mark or are you just being nice?
from the way you describe it, this 'album' sounds like a big wank.
