Three for Flinching is a band that has been playing small shows around socal for the last two years and never really gets to much recognition. But that time has passed for Three for Flinching with the realese of their second offering "Struggle to Recover". It only has five songs but it just keeps me wanting more. The entire cd is solid but the stand out tracks are the first song "Looking through a rearview mirror", and "Token of Remembrance". The first it just good, fast hooky punk with plenty of time changes to keep you on your toes, while the latter is a slower song that might even be called. . . . emo (cue blood curdling screams). But what "token" reminds me of more is early Jimmy Eat World, circa "static prevails", or some of lagwagons newer stuff. Overall this album is a good purchase but as of now it might be hard to find due to the band still searching for a label. Watch out for this band, they're up and comers who you will likely hear from soon in a major way.
