This band gets to me. Say, if I have a couple CD’s in the player and a No Knife album comes up at random, right when that first string is hit, my spine echoes the same vibration as the string. The guitars are that cutting… and it feels so good. I originally found No Knife after reading a review for Riot for Romance! on this website. It caught my attention, but I was fully convinced to check out the band further when I saw that Thrice was listening to it in their online journal (I know, but actually bands are a good source for finding new music). So you kids out there that are enjoying Thrice, open your ears and check out a band that your favorite band enjoys. Anyways, after listening to Riot for Romance! and enjoying it thoroughly, I searched the bands catalog of music.

No Knife is one of the most amazing bands in the entire world. They're just different and fucking..great!! and if Counterfit ripped them off then...fuck'em. No one will ever top this band ever. Fire in the city... is my all time no knife cd. =) This album cover scares the bejesus out of me.... Wow, when the guitar strings pling, I get all wrenched inside like there is a midget with a twisty-tie and he is clamping down my internal organs. These guys play such rancid melodies that my belly button pops out. Man, can these guys play any more wrong notes? In all truthfulness, these guys need more practice. Maybe they could get on the same level as Rebecca Schiffman. Hmm, based on the two comments below me, maybe because I like Counterfit I won't like No Knife. Hmm, it's funny that you say that because I tried checking out a bunch of No Knife's stuff and none of it stuck with me at all, but I love Counterfit. Counterfit rips them off yes, but somehow No Knife is fucking amazing and CF blows. I dont know how they pulled that off, but CF does infact blow. 'fire in the city of automatons' is my favorite, but any no knife record is better than most of the crap being released these days. anyone know anything about the turing machine? i've been told that they're no knife-ish... holy shit, never heard these guys till now and i gotta say they are one of the best bands i have ever had the pleasure of listening to. fucking amazing. this band is the next shit really man, this guys are very talented and hit man dreams is my favorite of all the no knife masterpieces. This band is so much more than people give them credit for. 10/10 without a doubt. I have yet to hear this band, but I've been told that Counterfit rips them off, and I'm big into Counterfit. So eventually I will get around to listening to No Knife. About time somebody reviews this album. This is the best in their catalog and a must have for any indiependent music lover. ha.. this is my fave of the first 2 and "Fire.. " would definitely be fave of last 2. My feelings are that both are awesome, but different... and Fire.. already has an awful review, so I did this one. Amazing amazing amazing band. This is probably their worst album, and I still give it an 8. | Features
