(Just to start, I have some really bomb ass pics of this show, but I can't find my cable to hook up the digicam to the PC, life's a bitch, I know. I also filmed it and it came out incredible. Anywho, if you want to see the pics, leave some info in the comments and as soon as I get ‘em online I'll let you know)

VCR website: "These kids rocked it hard as bitch-slap to the whore paying "daddy" $100 too little. Their singer was pretty much yelling and screaming the lyrics, not whining, but screaming all gruff and shit. It was bomb. And the female keyboardist, damn, it must be jelly..." haha, i have less than 48 hours to see this band... yea baby! Strike is a kick ass live band Strike anywhere kick ass... Plain and simple!!!! this score is for "These kids rocked it hard as bitch-slap to the whore paying "daddy" $100 too little" and "whack-ass 80's nonsense" By the way...I took pictures of the show. If you'd like to see them, you can go here: I was at this show, it was major kick ass. Strike Anywhere is an incredible live band, and they have more energy then they know what to do with. When I saw these guys in Melbourne a little while back, they played for ages, like 50-60 minutes or something. I got the setlist and it had about 13-14 songs on it (i think?) plus they played an encore of about 3-4 songs, which was sweet. Afterwards they said it was one of the longest sets they ever played so I feel special. i was supposed to go to this show and road trip down from PA, but my ride cancelled due to the rain. sissy. anyhow, i'd love to see pictures of it. if you can't get em online, email em to me: andrewlikefire@hotmail.com. thanks. I saw these guys in Adelaide (South Australia) a couple of months ago. Fucking shit hot. i saw them in NYC w/ the souls...i did like hearing nearly the whole Change is a Sound record...it was an amazing set. i would prefer to see/hear some of the new songs..maybe when i see them on the 24th or the 31st....damn im addicted to strike anywhere.... Reference to the 'Change is a Sound' lp, and the 'Chorus of One' ep, homey. Change is a chorus? What the fuck? exit english is a great cd... (i almost said 'exit anywhere'. fuck dislexia) it seems like it would be awesome live... and RATFE rules strike anywhere's headlining sets are soooooo short.. looks like they will be again this tour too even with another album under them.. This was a short-ass review, but pretty effective anyway. This score (might) be for Exit English, I'm still trying to decide whether it's a 4-star album or 4 and a half. I'm leaning towards the latter, hence the given score. "You see, we southerners are too busy fucking sheep, milking cows and whatnot to know anything about punk, so when we get an event such as this, all hell breaks loose." |
